Dump Cake

This is a super fast dessert recipe I received from Aunt Natalie about 15 years ago. You may want to serve it with vanilla ice cream to cut down on the sweetness.

Dump Cake

Ingredients
1 can of cherry pie filling
1 15 ounce can of crushed pineapple, do not drain
1 yellow cake mix
2 sticks of melted butter
3.5 ounces of coconut
1 cup chopped pecans

Dump pie filling evenly in 9 x 13 pan. Spread pineapple over pie filling. Sprinkle cake mix evenly over fruit mixture. Pour melted butter over all. Sprinkle with coconut and nuts. Bake at 325 for 1 hour.

I don't measure the nuts or coconut, just sprinkle a good amount on top. This recipe works well with other filling, have fun experimenting with it. Aunt Natalie says to wait for the cake to cool before you serve it, but it never gets to the cool stage in our house.

Bon appetite!
