The School Play
It all started when Frodo was in kindergarten and he won the lead role in the Christmas play. Of course, this was back in the day when the Christmas play was the Christmas play and not the Winter Break play. Frodo was Papa Bell and had more lines than anyone else. I can't tell you the stress I he was under.
This picture is from his 1st grade play: A Teddy Bear Christmas.
The tradition carried on until Frodo graduated and then was followed by the girls and now Nappy is having his turn as a thespian. Even Butter did some high school acting. This year's spring musical is Once Upon A Mattress based on the Princess and the Pea fairy tale. It was quite funny and surprisingly good.
Here is Nappy as the Butcher with Bunny and friends. The nice thing about this years school plays is we have a new round of up and coming actors and actresses.
So Tobey and I had a nice night out on the town visiting off-off Broadway and Nappy seemed to have enjoyed himself as well. We took him to McDonald's after the show, as he was starving, and he wasn't too happy when I cleared his way into the restaurant and kept an eagle-eye out for the paparazzi that might have been lurking behind the bushes. Hey, what can I say, when you choose to walk in the footsteps of Brad Pitt you have to be vigilant.
The play runs for two more nights and tomorrow is the cast dinner a la Denny's. I know it isn't Spago's but you have to start somewhere.

That pic of Frodo is a blast from the past. He looks like he's waving to the paparazzi.
